The small hoses have a problem, often when removed and replaced, with the factory gear clamps not sealing when tight. You may have a leak. Check for leaks near the T-stat and other small hoses. You can use small SS clamps from the hardware store. Put some duct tape folded over so no sticky exposed, and cut a strip of that to act as a buffer between the SS gear clamp and the hose. That will stop the hose jacket from cutting through the clamp's slots.
Retighten clamps as they are in service and with a new vehicle or new hoses etc. The spring clamps in new production do not have a loss of clamping pressure as the hose yields over time under the clamp.
