You named a couple of things that will lower your milage, tire pressure and octane. Examples:
Wife's Fiat X1/9 back in the 80's. 33.5 MPG on her 80 mile round trip commute on regular (87 octane), 36.5 on premium (93 octane).
Daughter coming down from Seattle to LA to visit last week, 26.? MPG coming down ('01 9-3 lpt, Auto), with tires at slight under 32 psi, 30.2 going back after I jacked up the tires to 38 psi. This one is a bit fuzzy though as they hit some snow and traffic besides having the auto box in sport mode coming down, none of which affected them on the way back.
Other than that, alignment will affect you if the toe in is not correct but if it is more than slightly off you should notice it because the car will be darting around more than usual (been there done that). Having the front end higher may also cost some mileage too, as more air will be going under the car with less space at the back to get out.
