My first reccomemdation is to use a full synth.
Perhaps there is contaminatin from turbo & headhasket failure?
Possibly the latter could contribute fuel to the oil, although usually coolant or water would be a sign of that.
I have persistant fuel, varying with seasons, suggesting temp control. My temp guage reflects this often running below 9:00 when temp are below say 45F.
My fuel% has been as high as 2.5% in winter. I'm replacing thermostat for the second time, and will monitor cooling fan operation (doesn't run right at start up I know).
Sticking rings could also contribute to blowby.
that much fuel could lower the oil viscosity enough to allow some of the wear metals.
Are you running short trips to keep mileage that low?
Keep you OC intervals low until resolved, before you get to a point of no return.
