There is no way to be nice about this. They did not do a very god job or charge you a very good price. I don't think they are trying to rip you off as much as they are not very familiar with Saabs. An aside...Sorry Anders but I just did my whole front suspension in the driveway with a set of ratchets and the Stanchion arms were by far the easiest part of the job (what would you have charged?). I would insist they fix the clunk w/ labor gratis. You didn't ask for new stanchion arms but for the clunk to be gone so that one is on them. For that price they should have done an entire front suspension upgrade and replacement. The kit is $380 at saabsite and my local indy quoted me $400 in labor. Use this information as leverage since shame often works better then threat do. Since they didn't fix the problem, squeeze some free strut mounts out of them (that is most likely the issue they are $50 each). If they are recalcitrant file a small claim and get a better mechanic. There are a list of Saab indies on this forum somewhere. Unfortunately, this sort of thing happens frequently with mechanics you don't know and their really isn't much you can do.
