One Engine management system over the other is a tough call.
Seems more problems arise with the t7 (00+) but it gets better performance + mileage, While the t5 is simpler (easier to mod if you're heading that route).
The T7 has sludge to consider but if you've eliminated that as a past problem you can probably avoid it as a future problem with diligence.
You'd have to look elsewhere to decide ... both have ACC, Leather, premium audio ?... 2K for 22K miles on that age car ... ALL else being equal that's too much extra, IMO.
