Bad on my part; not enough information.

When I typed in about Attempts 1, 2,& 3, the car was still blocked up. I wanted to double check for oil and/or tranmission leaks, so I just left the car up in the air without wheels or splashguards.

That's why I'm so concerned about the shuddering sensation is that there isn't any load on this car. I really feels like my problem is with the transmission, and not the clutch.

I've posted this same question on a few different Saab forums to get a mass concensus. The best idea I've gotten so far is that the input shaft bearing may be out. My plan now is to have wife start car with me underneath and have the clutch pedal be slowly let out. With a mechanic's stethescope, I should be able to hear if it's in the bellhousing or in the transmission itself. Futher, I'm going to pull the bellhousing inspection port and see what I can see. I'll let y'all know what I find.

I am most puzzled by the fact that I can't shift the car into any gears unless the engine is off.
