Rear rotor removal '99 9-3 Posted by Keith [Email] (#1462) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Keith) on Mon, 9 Mar 2009 11:31:36 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I recently bought my 1999 9-3SE 5sp and I am loving it, however I was just getting into replacing the rear rotors, but I cannot remove them. I'm pretty sure there it has something to do with the emergency brake, but I cannot get it loose for the life of me.
I've read Dean's guide from 2001, but his step #7 (remove old rotor and put on the new one) just isn't enough. I could use some detail in this area. I've got both sides loose, but the whole e-brake mechanism just won't come loose.
Also, on my left side, the brake is seizing, so that probably doesn't help. I'll probably work on that later according to some of the other guides, but this fact might be relevant.
Thanks,
-Keith
