I can't even begin to scratch the surface on what you are about to tackle. But when I had my '99 Viggen engine replace by a Saab shop, the clutch didn't feel the same and I took it to the dealer. They made a big deal about whether or not it was "bench bled" during the installation. I cannot elaborate on what they were talking about but they eventually bled the system 4 times and all was normal.

Good luck with the install. Is the original Vig engine salvagable? My block was a total loss but we saved the head, minus a few valve$.

One other caveat is that a friends Mom just blew the engine in her 2000 Aero wagon. I have yet to ask what the nature of the failure was... so unsure if it was piston related or sludge etc.
