Just been using OEM pads from regular dealer services over the years. Never inquired about after-market or upgraded pads before. For future reference, what pads (if any) other than OEM are worth considering?
Braided stainless lines sound like a relatively low cost way to stiffen pedal feel and improve performance. May just do this as first step when changing fluid. Quick google shows Goodridge G-Stop set as good choice.
Btw, is brand or type of fluid important for normal street use? Just read a short blurb about Castrol LMA synthetic and ATE Blue. Going overboard or worth doing?
My leased '99 9-5SE 4 cyl turbo (really liked that car during its tenure) from memory had better initial bite & pedal feel than the 9-3. Less tendency to ride the pedal. However, both when pressed stop quite well.
