Not much more than stock. If I am correct, the stock setting is 12.5psi, and the fuel cut is 15psi. I figured I would dial it in somewhere between the two, say 13.5psi. I have read time and again that knock should not be a problem in the T5 system, unless something else is wrong with the engine. From what I understand, the ECU compensates for knock by first enriching the fuel, then adjusting timing, then finally cutting boost as a last resort. From everything I have read it seems as if the first two are sufficient unless there is some other problem with the engine. This is mainly what I am concerned about, as my car has 170,000 miles on it. It is in tip-top shape, I have all the service records from before I bought it and it always received the scheduled services. I change oil every 3k, and will be changing plugs when I install MBC. What I would like to be able to do, is find out if the ECU has tried to cut boost to correct knock, but been unable to because of MBC.
Thanks
Ethan
