Using three plastic inserts only disconnects the reverse collar mechanism from the knob (I just used a small screwdriver to pry all 3 tabs up one at a time). Then you need to actually remove the knob, which is fun. I'd recommend peeling back the leather part and the popping off the top so you're left with just the white plastic core...this is where the fun begins. Some have used a big plumbing wrench to apply torque and break this sucker free, but I'm not comfortable applying that much torque to the shifter. Most people use a Dremel to cut it off, which gets a little messy. Then pop your new one on and use a rubber mallet to pound it in - no epoxy needed. Make sure you pound it down enough so that when you reattach the collar, the reverse lock works.
I got the GS one - it is OEM Saab (leather) and seems to be the same as the EEuro one...not sure why there is a price difference.
