95 900S Clutch failed what to look at

My daughter's 95 Saab 900S clutch just stopped working. When I talked to her and tried to calm her down I asked if she noticed the clutch slipping as she accelerates or as she climbs a hill. The answer was no and she explained that after stopping at a red light putting the car into first gear it would not move forward. Up until that point she did not notice any problems with the clutch. The clutch was rebuilt in April 2008 just after we bought the car and since then the car has less then 10,000 miles on the new clutch.

What should I look at when I get to the car? Any advise will be very much appreciated.

Also the 95 900S has been driven in snowy / salty western New York all of its life.
