Now that I know my 2003 vert is old gen, i'll start a new thread there too.
I was hoping it were something as simple as me routing the belt the wrong way but i'm pretty sure I did it the only way that makes sense.
The reason I assume the belt I am attempting (4060710) is meant for AC delete with idler is because I am left with the perfect amount of slack remaining to track under that pully if it were there. (Initially I figured that the previous owner removed it)
I don't remember the brand I used (not currently at location with car) but i'm pretty certain it wasn't dayco and definitely not gatorback. I thought the tolerance among manufacturers was small enough where it work if its the right one. I supposed it's possible that I have the wrong belt in that package but but very likely and it just seems right if that tensioner were there. I'd much rather find the right belt instead if deal with that.
