Ok,
So I've read most of the posts I could find, and thinking I need to change to a synthetic higher-weight oil.
But it's been below 0 F for the last 2 weeks, so what weight should I be getting? I know some guys have said 0W40 or 10w40, but I don't understand enough about the weights to know what I should be getting that would be correct.
Again, any advice is appreciated.
Also, to get the oil to be nice and warm to drain, you would typically warm up the engine... given this might be a oil starvation issue if things are indeed clogged, and it's not just a oil viscosity thing, how should I approach that? Drain with the engine cooler, and just change again soon?
thanks, Nick
