That doesn't sound like a plausible explanation. There is no ABS motor on a 9-3. Braking power is delivered conventionally, with a vacuum powered booster. The ABS module simply adjusts hydraulic pressure to each corner as needed. If your foot isn't on the brake, there is no pressure to a caliper. I suppose theoretically a valve could stick trapping pressure in one or more circuits, but that seems odd, and a scenario that would immediately trigger an ABS fault. Anything is possible, but as Jimmy noted if there is no fault light, it seems unlikely the module is at fault.
