I have a similar problem with a 2000 9-3 convertible. The drivers side brake caliper was consistently sticking;after 20 or so miles the car's brake fluid expanded, the pedal firmed up to very hard and the increasing brake drag forces one off the road. So to fix I rebuilt the caliper and replaced the brake fluid. No change. I replaced the caliper. No change. I replace the distribution block(?) on the ABS (and replaced the brake fluid). No change. Much earlier in the game I replaced the ABS computer-that did not resolve the sticking but did resolve the ABS/Traction control/speed sensor errors. I have also replaced the brake line to that caliper. Now, after all this effort, the passenger's caliper is now sticking. Both caliper are in great shape (southern car) with the proper lube applied and new brake pad hardware. I guess my next attempt is the vacuum line(with the one way check valve). Any other thoughts here?
