I didn't want this thread to get lost so I moved it up the ladder. I've been trying all day to get the cutout to happen and finally did it. It doesn't happen at or near redline as some suggested, rather it happened in third gear at low rpm's (4000) with the throttle near wide open, I passed through a toll booth on the highway in second and accelerated smoothly then changed into third and stood on the gas, by the time it got arond 4000rpm the boost gauge was into the red and then it stuttered. Without taking unnecessary risks I didn't try to make it happen in fourth or fifth as I was going quite fast at the time! It doesn't happen in first or second either, on a different run I accelerated with nearly w.o.t and the guage would just barely get into the red before I got close to redline (5500rpm) and had to change gears into second where I would accelerate again with w.o.t before having to back off (I need to keep my license!) and it operates flawlessly???? By the way its a 95 900SET with 120,000 miles. The dealer did the 120k mile service before I picked it up and I dont know if that had new plugs included. The car has only been serviced by this dealer so I would assume they used the stock spec plugs but I'm not positive.
