I suspect that there is nothing wrong with your BCP. I do suspect that you have a modfied ECU. The wastegate actuator locked onto the wastegate valve lever with a circlip or a cotter type pin. If it is the latter, that sounds like a HO Abbott mod. Different boost in 1st and 2nd also sounds like Abbott.
If you are into those boost pressures, for whatever reason, I would get a K&N and a Sports exhaust.
You would not be the first to get a used NG900 with a modifed ECU.
With higher boost pressures, the plugs become ever more important, as the dielectic strength of the AF mixture goes up with pressure. So if your gap is a bit too wide, that could easily be the problem. I reduced my gap to .035, but not because of any problems. I also running NKG BCPR6EVX-11's just for fun, they are working great after 18 months. They run almost white with my expressway commute. When I had heat range 7's in the basic plug, they ran much darker.
I would do the plugs and Techron Concentrate. Basic and cheap.
You have a very interesting purchase. A great foundation on which to build.
