the balancing computer tells them where to put the weights, inside or out, and where on the wheel. it's possible that you brand new wheels didn't need any side weights, but i've never seen that occour on all 4 wheels. It's a possibility that your new rim style requires stick on outside weights and they didn't have any. you'd be suprised how poor of a balancing job some tire shops do. i know more then one person that had to have newley mounted/balanced tires rebalanced elswhere. Unless then will do it for free, i recommend going somewhere else for a good balancing. It once took me 3 times to get it right. Then best place so far (in the area where i live now) is my saab dealer. performacne shops are another good (if not better) place to go.
check the inside of the wheeles. If they didn't balance any of them, then you are surely in for a free balancing.
