SAAB's genreally come out pretty well in sort of collision you reported. But there may be some hidden damage - part of the bumper mountings are designed to absorb the impact and by doing that they loose their strength/shape. So next time you get hit, you may suffer worse damage. Check with a body shop that knows SAAB's and they should be able to tell you if you need to spend that insurance money. If an insurance assessor approved a sum of money for you, he/she probably believes some parts are damaged.
