As everyone has mentioned, you should take it to a collision shop...But, if you're the adventurous type, it's pretty easy to take the bumper completely off...There are only 4 bolts holding it in place, but getting to them will require a little bit of your time...Unlike most other cars, where the bolts are located somewhere that causes them to rust, these bolts and nuts remain relatively rust free...
The bolts are located in the trunk behind the plastic cover that surrounds the latch and rear area of the trunk...Kind of reminds me of taking a LEGO project apart, piece by piece, it's that easy...The whole bumper assembly will come off as one piece...After loosening the nuts, pull back on the bumper, pop out the sides and voila, you're ready to make your examination...
There are several pieces, bumper cover, foam, and a metal plate...If the metal plate is bent, you'll notice that immediately, you can just about bet that the foam has disentegrated...Again, like everyone has mentioned, if you don't replace it now, you could suffer greater damage should the same type of incident occur...But, I guess that would depend on how much money you're gettin' right now...
