I had the same problem this summer. It was solved by never getting gas at the same place again. Since changing fuels, my car hasn't had any problems. I'd wait until you are completely empty before filling up, or get it syphoned out. Good luck.
As an afterthought, what brand/type of gas was it? You may be able to prevent others here from running into the same problems.
