Revs drop, then throttle "blips" at idle...

As the weather turns colder, my 97 900set seems to be performing a bit of a pendulum dance at idle - for example: when approaching a stop sign early in the morning. It will drop to about 800 rpm or so and then "blip" up to about 1,000 and then back to 800 rpm, and so on and so forth. This seems to be happening when the engine is cold. It will do the slight revving about three or four times before settling in at about 900 rpm.
I just treated my sweetie to the 56,000 km "spa" at the Saab store, incl new plugs, etc, etc, etc. I always (alomost always) keep the tank above the half-way mark and use premium petrol only.
Any ideas??
