Dean's idea about fuel injector cleaner is good. Even brand name premium gas can still lead to fouled fuel injectors. My favorite is Redline Complete Fuel System Cleaner, Redline also has a good explaination of fuel injector fouling and valve deposits at their website. http://www.redlineoil.com
The symptom you decribe could also be a minor air leak. Have you checked all the vacuum lines for possible splits or cracks? It might be time to replace the vacuum tubing. On my 1998 900SET the stock vacuum tubing got really brittle after a couple years.
I replaced the stock vacuum tubing on my 1998 900SET with silicone vacuum hose from Hose Techniques, http://www.hosetechniques.com. It took about 25 feet of 4mm hose to replace all the stock vacuum tubing.
