the engine until it is warm and then 'rocking' the car back a forth a couple of feet during its storage period, then use blocks to keep suspension compressed but tires off the floor. "Dress' the tires to prevent environmental damage, even inside, pollution can dry out stuff. My indie mechanic cautioned me to start the car at least one per month and run it until the temp gauge moves off the peg and then do the rocking thing. Firing up the A/C is something that should be done at least once per month, for 10 minutes, to keep the seals from changing shape and/or drying out. Moth balls scattered around under the hood helps keep the little guys away, I don't care how clean your garage is drops of antifreeze emit a sweet smell and many old dead bugs provide snacks - get where I'm going??

BTW my 1987 Convertible, stored in a detached 1 car garage (no winter moisture mist from other cars), also has its top raised to prevent any lingering moisture from creating mildew in retracted top folds. I also have soft old sheets coving it to keep dust and any other falling stuff off it. I waxed it and treated the rubber moldings before I put it away.
