I gave up on large blocky tread patterns years ago. They do not age gracefully.
I went for the Pilot Sport$ because of the blocks that sweep around the circumference. These will be quieter. All tires seem to get noisy to some extent. The more power that you have and the more that you use it, the worse it will be. Front wheel drive also is harder on tires that rear wheel drive. I found feathering on rear wheels for rear independant suspention, with front wheel drive. So I am quite happy to have a semi independent rear axle. The SAS sway bar makes this more like a rigid axle in some respects.
Higher tire pressures might reduce feathering wear... but someone might try to prove me wrong. Your tires pressures are ??? you tire guage matches up with tire dealers?
