Yeah it was laugh worthy.
They left the entire cover off for the false-firewall on the 9000--a large plastic cover w/ about 8-10 6mm bolts covering the area between the engine and the windshield...hard to miss. They also reinstalled my DI cassette with only 2 of the 4 special black bolts.
Mark tried to tell me that I took them off and then he tried to say that they weren't there when I brought the car in!!!
I'm no automotive idiot and I didn't appreciate being patronized like that...not to mention that if I were non-mechanically inclined I would have been getting screwed and not even noticing!!
I'll bet that cover costs at least $100 new from Saab!
I have also had good and bad experienced with Mike Shaw Saab. They do the best Saab alignments I have found in the Denver area...straight as an arrow. I just hate the dealer experience in general....you never talk to a mechanic...only a "service advisor" who really has no idea what was repaired or what is needed and often miscommunicates your concerns to the mechanics. Stupid....all seems to be in the interest of just keeping the car owner fat dumb and happy so you will buy another one from them. Must be doing ok though...Mike Shaw (previously Dean Saab) has been listed in the top 5 Saab dealers in the USA for several years now.
Nick.
