Is this 900S a good deal?

Well, my '91 9000 finally gave up the ghost, in the form of the transmission. Along with a needed driver's side mirror, headlight assembly and various other odds and ends, it doesn't seem worth it to put $3K into a 150K mile vehicle.
So.... I am looking for another car. And fool in love that I am, I'm looking for a Saab even though I am a student.
I found a 1997 Saab 900S with only 38K miles on it. Not the turbo, and it's an automatic. However, it seems to be pristine. Always kept in a garage, all of the maintanence done on time, it drives well. There have been no major repairs needed. It also has an extended warranty from MBA - Mechanical Breakdown Administrators (http://www.mbawarrantys.com) that will last up to 100,000 miles or January 2006. They are asking $12,500.
It seems like a great car, although it's a little more than I wanted to pay. However, here in San Francisco where prices are higher than in the midwest, it is a real boon to find a car that doesn't have little dents from the difficult parking!
Any comments? How much should I plan on spending on routine maintenence and wear & tear items?
