Are you not able to do any of this stuff your self? One of the main benefits of this BB is to get folks doing their own maintenace and to develop their own diagnostic skills. So we help each other learn these things. Then you come along and ask how to write a blank check for mechanic. You don't need our help or experience to do that. Do your own brakes and save enough money to pay for some upgrades. You don't have to drop $800 at the dealer for new rotors and pads.
I don't know if Pento PS fluid is called for your modle year. Be sure!
So do the Mobil 1 10W30 and use Purolator Pure One filters.
Things that are visual inspection items you should do your self.
When you get the clutch replaced, preplace the engine real crankshaft oil seal and have the four trany seals replaces and fill with Saab syntheic oil.
So respond with what services you would be interested in doing your self. The is not much we can do when you list every system on the vehicle that you can get parnoid about and tell us you want pay to have these things looked at. But a good general inspection is what you can ask for. A good Saab tech knows what fails and know that to look for.
Use NGK BCPR6ES11's. The original spec was 7ES, but these run too cool and get deposits. Keep you fuel injectors clean. Suggest Techron Concentrate 3Xs/year. Change your own plugs and know that they look like. If the vehicle starts running or starting poorly, the plugs are the first things that you should look at, and know how to read them as they stell you whats going on in the cylinders.
Get enducated about performance mods. Search and read deans<underscore>list. Read postings found with drs<underscore>install for general familiarity about brakes and suspension. Read drs_lube to get parnoid about lubrication :)
Check and top up you battery with distilled water a couple of times per year or every 8000 miles. Yes they are maintance free, yes they do still need topping up. This is probably the most overlooked issue these days.
