OH really? It's funny how a friend of mine bought a VW Passat and the salesman wouldn't stop mentioning the fact that it's built on the Audi A4 platform (not the other way around). Since the new Saab 9-3 has come out FIRST and the Trollhattan engineers had an important say in the development of the new "Epsilon" platform, then I'll laugh when the Chevy and Pontiac salesmen say that it's built on the Saab platform! ;-)

This is what I mean by snobbery. It's almost a form of prejudice or stereotyping. Why do people think that once something is "tainted" it's automatically BAD no matter how much it has changed? In your way of thinking, GM could come out with the best cars on the planet and they'd still be CRAP.
My dear mother thinks that VOLVOS are crap because she once had a real lemon of a Volvo wagon back in the 70's... It doesn't matter that they've completely changed since then (several times over in fact). Nope, Volvos are CRAP!! Some people just hold a grudge for a loooong time...
