I had the exact same problem. I had to twist off all for bolt heads. The old sway bar came off pretty easily with a pry bar. Getting what was left of the old bolts out took a bit more work. First I had to knock them loose, then wiggle them out (this was difficult as there isn't much space and the two bolts are attached). I actually had to bend one of the bolts with a vise-grip to get it to slide out. The whole thing was a pain but took no more than 30 minutes.
