Unless you can afford a brand new car, get yours fixed. At least you know the history of your car. If you would have to buy a used car you would be taking chances on it having unforseen problems. My last Saab had 230,000 miles and even though I did have repairs they were still nowhere close to what a car payment would have been. Most people are used to retiring an American car at 100,000 miles. I know many people who have kept their Saabs for MUCH longer. Once you get the car paid off, put away a few dollars each month for maintenance (preventative and repairs) and pocket the rest for more productive endeavors. Your car (even the NG900's, Ed G) can last you a long time!
