I agree with Bill H - chances are you'd be making a huge mistake that you'd seriously regret. I absolutley love my 1995 900SE convertable, but it has cost me a fortune to maintain. Granted, some report on this board that their SAABs are dependable, reliable, and cheap to operate, but generally speaking SAABs are NOT known for their affordability and cost/benefit advantages.
If you'll have a few thousand dollars a year to put back into it and are pretty good with cars yourself, then go for it. If you need reliable transportation and and would rather have spending money for movies, CD's, etc., then IMHO you should look for a solid Toyota, Honda, or Nissan. Sure, they're not as cool as a SAAB, but a SAAB sitting in the garage because it needs serious work is very uncool if you can't afford it.
Just my two cents - good luck in your decision!
