This past friday I was driving the 95 900vert when a F-250 superduty pulled out in front of me, I swerved to avoid hitting him and hit a curb trashed the left front wheel and anything attached to it, the wheel was tucked under and pushed back into the fender which in turn jammed into the door. Luckily I avoided hitting him and thankfully he stopped to make sure I was ok he stuck around untill the cops showed up and was cited for reckless endangerment and failure to yield. We are not going to file a claim under our insurance because our rates would go up (already checked) I have already spoken with the other drivers insurance to see about getting a rental car so that is in the works. Our mechanic estimated about 5k in damages considering new door new fender and all the parts and labor involved adn hoping the fram isnt bent. The main reason in all this isto get your opinions on what I should and shouldnt do regarding this guys insurance how to handle them all that good stuff. My insurance is thru the roof considering about 2 speeding tickets a year, I asked them if I was to access the rental car portion of the insurance if it would jakc up my rates they said it COULD I heard it WOULD, so I would like to keep everythin on him, this is my first car accident in 12 years of driving and have no idea what to do and dont want to get taken. I just hope they dont toal the car out
