Yes, I've been thinking of keeping a spare DI in the trunk for a while. Guess I'll just have to bite the bullet and get one. As I do not reside in the US, eeuroparts.com is not an option. I'll probably have to get one from the dealer.
The plugs were an even brown/tan color.
Normally check the battery every other week, electrolyte OK, terminals tight. The only thing I don't know about the battery is its age.
Yes, the O2 sensor was backed out, the area surrounding it cleaned up and brightened a bit with emery cloth, checked with a multimeter. This alone seems to have made a big difference.
Had the injectors cleaned last month at the dealership.
Changed a few (rubber) vacuum lines, but hsve not touched the one from the TB to the MAP sensor. It looks like a silicone line and is still in good shape.
