If your hinge is bent, the hose clamp fix won't work unless you straighten out the hinge or remove the hinge pin altogether. Try the clamp first. Looking at your picture, the motor is casting a shadow on the housing. the hinge is out of site and at the top of this assembly. Picture it is a V and you picture is showing the leggs of the V and the hinge is at the apex. What your trying to do with the clamp is hold the V together. I put the clamp just above the lever, and it goes aroung the motor and behind the housing. It's a lot higher on the motor than I thought it should be but it appears to work ok. By the way, I had to remove the assembly to punch out the hinge pin so I could get the motor flush. Keep us posted.
