I think both of those concerns are unfounded. The 9-3 has the same routing, so obviously the slipping is not an issue for that car. How much contact do you really need? I suspect you don't even need as much as you have with the short belt mod. As for the mounts, that is only a problem if they intentionally designed the mounts to withstand the stress of the stock set-up, and nothing more. More likely, the mounts can withstand many times the stress that is put on them in normal use.
