Turns out the wheel noise I complained about in an earlier post is a bearing after all. My 97 900SE V6 also needs a new set of shocks/struts becuase I'm tired of avoiding every pothole up here in Mass so I don't bottom out. Seems to me this is the time to replace the struts (probably use Bilsteins) as well, if not the rest of the suspension. I've gone through previous posts but don't know for sure if this is the kind of job I should take on because of the bearings?? My indie said he'd install the stuff for me if I want. What do you think?
Also while I'm at it I was thinking of installing the SAS lowering springs, and of course urethane bushings. My question here is will that make my SE too low? I would probably want to do this if I put 17" rims on the beastie but I'm not sure I'll be doing that considering how much I'm sinking into the mechanical repairs. All opinions appreciated!
Cheers,
Chris
