So many variables it is hard to determine. The boost indicator gauge is just that, an indicator, not true boost pressure. Not sure where you're getting your figures you posted unless you have a VDO boost gauge in your car which are also not precisely accurate either. Depending on how long you've had the car and who had it before you could also be a factor as to what the car is used to, how many miles, what kind of carbon build up it has, etc...If you tend to drive enthusiastically where the last driver did not, then a few good runs may help the MAP adjust to your desires. The smell of your exhaust probably means a higher concentrate of sulfur in the gas, so change brands and the smell might dissappear. It doesn't sound like your leaking any boost pressure, but you might want to nose around the engine to inspect the integrity of your vacuum lines. Some tend to degrade over time like the one going to the BPV and the one at the TB to the FPR, etc...If the vac line to the BPV is faulty, you can lose boost pressure.
You might want to run a bottle to Techron Concentrate to clean the injectors. you can get a 20oz bottle for a tank of gas.
Other than the variables, your boost sounds pretty normal. If you want more, you can run a MBC or a MBC+A to increase peak boost.
