I did a search last night and found the info for testing base boost. Armed with this information I went out and tried some more runs while watching the APC gauge. 1st and 2nd gear stops 1/2 through middle/yellow, 3rd also stops 1/2 through middle/yellow. When I did the brake test in 3rd to default to base boost the needle didn't budge, it stayed right at 1/2 through middle/yellow. I tried 4th and 5th as well and found the same thing thing. At no time does the needle make it past 1/2 way. I didn't get a chance to disconnect the wg hose yet to check if the system is holding pressure correctly, check the plug gap, or inspect the lines for leaks. I should be able to tomorrow. I'm running 93 octane and have been since purchase 2 weeks ago.
I realize without eliminating some of the other potential problems it is premature to diagnose the boost issue, but does the symptoms my car exhibits thus far indicate that base is set at 6 psi and I can't get above that due to leaks? To soon to tell?
