Need help with replacing calipers Posted by mike TX [Email] ![]() ![]() |
I decided to upgrade my '96 900SETC front calipers and rotors to those from the larger '97 900SE. I was having a problem with the old calipers and after I was able to find some used ones for a good price I decided to upgrade. My question is what do I need to do to replace them. I have replaced pads and rotors before, so I am comfortable with that. Do I need to do anything special when I am reconnecting the brake lines? Do I use teflon tape like I would with water lines in a house? Do I need to do anything to avoid huge ammounts of air bubble in the lines? I plan on replacing the brake fluid at the same time. Any tips and advice are appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help.
