Not sure how the conversion to the later model calipers will go, but a couple of pointers from experience with my '94:

1) Copper washers (2 each side) used to seal between flexible brake hose and caliper / bolt are not re-usable. You will need 4 new ones. If your Saab garage is like mine, they don't seem to stock anything. However, the Saab washers are virtually identical to the copper washers used on some Saturn vehicle rear calipers. I used Saturn washers, part number 21012386 based on the advice of my local Saab dealer. These copper washers should be more readily available.

2) The metal 'flat' at the end of the flexible brake hose pipe for the front calipers has to oriented the right side up (it is kinked at a slight angle). Look closely at the orientation as you unscrew the bolt holding hose to caliper. I mistakenly put one back on upside down and couldn't figure out why it was leaking despite being torqued to correct value (ended up having to get 2 more copper washers).

3) Breaker bar will probably be needed to free brake caliper retaining bolts, as they are likely loctited in place. Suggest that you use loctite when you put these bolts back in.

4) If you are changing the fluid, before you do anything make sure all 4 bleed bolts can be backed off before doing anything else. The ones at the rear are particularly prone to rusting up. Spray on plenty of Liquid Wrench or similar to soak in and free up.

5) Use a wood block behind brake pedal to prevent travel to floor while bleeding. This prevents master cylinder piston from stroking out farther than it does during normal braking and damaging seals on any internal corrosion.

6) Reduce drip rate from unbolting flexible brake hose from caliper by first covering filler hole on top of brake reservoir with plastic sheet before screwing filler cap down tight over sheet. Creates a better seal that slows down drip rate when hose unbolted.

7) No Teflon tape needed on brake hose connections.

Let us know the results of the upgrade.
