Something very "fishy" about the entire transaction. Am Ex sent me a mailgram which I received the day or the day after they sent it. They asked me to call a toll free number to verify if these charges definitely were not made by me. They weren't. They did some things in the computer, deactived my old card and overnighted a new card to me, which was a similar number to my old number. When I called the toll free number to activate the new card, its done by automated system. You never have human contact whatsoever. I'd be real suspicious of "Bob" in INDIA! Best to call their fraud dept. & see what's up with that.

I work for the local town police dept where I live. I saw the CT State Police at a suupermarket this morning collecting food & money for a benefit. I pulled one of the troopers aside & asked if he had heard of such a scam going on in CT (reproducing credit cards) and he hadn't heard of it. When I go to work tomorrow, I will have the detectives I work with check into it for me. One of our Sgt's works closely with the FBI and that sounds like something the feds might be working on if it's a big problem. I'll post more when I find things out.
