They actually do that with EZ-Pass? I guess I'll have to dismount my EZ-Pass when traveling on the NY State Thruway...
As for OnStar, I like its LoJack-like functionality, but obviously there's a Big Brother tradeoff to that. Also, the automatic airbag notification is a good feature. The analog cell phone functionality is a good backup for people whose primary cell phone is digital-only.
But they have no business connecting it to the drive-by-wire throttle. I'm thinking (hoping?) that no such connection exists, as OnStar was not really properly implemented in a SAAB in the first place--for example, OnStar cannot remotely lock/unlock a SAAB. I believe they cannot do remote engine diagnostics on a SAAB, either.
Of course, the only way to be sure, is to study the wiring diagrams, or the actual wiring itself...
