they start somewhere around 13k here (Canadain funny money though), which puts it in a similar market slot as the Accent, Cavalier, and Echo hatch (I can already hear you 'mericans asking what an Echo hatch is!). If it were between those 3, I'd pick the Ion...but, if you can consider that I could either fork over a few extra bucks and move up to Protege/Sentra/Echo/Focus territory, or buy a slighly used car, then there really isn't much pulling me towards the Ion anymore.
Throw in a new interior, some new fabrics and you have something that could really bite into the sales of the more mainstream products. Add in some great dealer experiences, and they might just have a winner.
