you finger nail, use a mild scratch remover, followed by a polish, then wax. Similar to your fiance, my wife did that to a black 9000 once in a while. Did you educate your fiance after this ?
If you can wax your car, you can remove the scratches. 3M or Meguiar (Professional Line) make excellent scratch removers. You can't skim on the products, get some good ones.
Go to the Detailing BB and just browse some older posts, very easy to do. Some cleaner wax has mild abrasives and can reduce and cover up the scratches but I would recommend doing it the right way, just buff by hand if the scratches are not too deep. If you have a orbital buffer, it would take minutes.
