There's a point system with values for various violations, including so many miles over the limit. I'm a lawyer and when I got one that was 22 mph over (6 points) i paid alawyer what i though was a lot of money to contest it - he knocked it down )plea bargained) to a 2 point violation. Well spent money.
You're better off (other than paying a lawyer to fight it) forgetting about it. they won't tell you, anonymous or not, and they might just not pick it up either. Don't go looking for trouble. If it happens, it happens. If a big ticket, expect a hefty increase, which is why the lawyer route pays. and you want a lawyer who lives in that world, not one who just does wills.
