That would be a heck of nice Saab model. Maybe call it the 9-1Y.
Kidding aside, I don't think MORE models is the answer - I think intelligent model progression is the answer. Sure, Saab owners are moving to SUVs, but WHY? Is it because Saab had no SUV or because SAAB had no model to offer with the perceived utility of an SUV. Offer a slightly larger wagon with AWD instead of a truck-based SUV, something that gets great fuel economy, is sporty, and SAFE.
If Saab cannot compete because of time-to-market issues, why not strengthen the who GM line-up by offering Saab-re-engineered GM products. "Buy the new trailblazer. The engineers at GM-owned Saab have improved the ergonomics, economy, and safety, making it the best Trailblazer EVER!"
