I drive from Raleigh, NC to New York on a somewhat regular basis, which obviously includes going through Richmond. I have no problems on this route, though I do have to switch the frequency that the modulator transmits on a couple of times (not enough to be terribly inconvenient). I think the modulator set up will be acceptable for you. Eventually, I would like to install an antenna override switch, so that I can lower the antenna when I’m listening to satellite, which I think will both help reception and make the car look a little better. I'm using an XM Roady 2.
