I have had it with any form of ink jet. The ink costs a fortune when you use it, and if you use it infrequently, the nozzles dry up and then you throw the cartidges away, so you still get $crewed.
So I am liking die sublimiation. Fantastic results. I have a 4x6 Sony DPP-EX50 which does a great job. Read the specs to see the actual DPI on these, they are not all the same. This printer has no ink to dry out. Prints are covered with a plastic film and are smudge and quite water proof. So they are durable. It I want a large print, I could get that done commercially.
When you decide on what you want, google for the model number and for supplies.
We only print what we expect to display. We do not print to put in a book or a drawer.
